Shocking Details Emerge in Missing Child Case

Mar. 5, 2025: According to Honolulu Hawaii News Now – New court filings have revealed disturbing details surrounding the disappearance of 6-year-old Isabella “Ariel” Kalua, whose body has never been found. The child’s adoptive parents, Isaac “Sonny” Kalua and Lehua Kalua, are accused of her murder.

While Isabella was reported missing in September 2021, records indicate she was allegedly killed a month prior. Recent grand jury transcripts, submitted as part of a motion to dismiss the murder charge against Lehua Kalua, paint a horrifying picture. Testimony from Isabella’s older sibling suggests she was placed in a dog cage, her mouth taped shut, and tragically died overnight.

The transcripts further allege that the Kaluas then embarked on a series of trips to public beaches, where they were seen washing cooking materials and pouring a green substance into public toilets. The sibling, forced to act as a lookout, described the Kaluas disposing of these items and the green fluid, possibly acid, down the drains.

Attorneys representing Isabella’s siblings expressed horror at the revelations, suggesting the older sibling was compelled to assist in disposing of the body. The details, including the use of cooking and grilling items, are particularly disturbing.

The community of Waimanalo, where these events allegedly took place, deserves to know the truth, according to attorney Trevor Potts. Legal experts believe the older sibling will likely be called to testify during the Kaluas’ trial.

A hearing on the motion to dismiss the murder charge is scheduled for April 14th. The Kaluas remain in custody without bail. This case continues to shock and deeply sadden our community.
